Do you ever endow.blood?!
Question: If you are donating in the United States:
If you are paid for blood, it is not transfused (given to) another human being. It is sold to research companies and drug manufacturers.
If you donate at a nonprofit blood bank and are not paid, the blood is transfused into a human being.
This doesn't mean that if you're being paid, you aren't helping people. Research and drug manufacturing are very important too.
The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) is responsible for the above law in the United States.
