What should i expect when i go to the GI today?!

Question: i'm 16, and for the last 7-8 months my stomach feels so bloated constantly, it's like a never ending cycle, and it just occured one day after i got home from a fair.

i can't take it, and it's turned me into a complete health freak, because i think i can control the bloating look with food, but it hasn't changed one thing. i drink water and everything.

it seriously looks like i'm pregnant sometimes. anyway..

i'm finally going to a GI and i'm nervous, because i don't know what to expect.

what will they do? could they give me a medicine or what?

I had an upper GI and a lower GI. The upper one, you have to swallow this terrible barium stuff that tastes like chalky, thick, water. Then, they make you lay down, while they watch it go through your esophogus. It took me 5 hours to complete that test. The lower GI is terrible. The night before the test, you have to drink 1 cup of this terrible terrible juice stuff. The next day when you get to the doctor they act all goody goody to calm you. They stick a needle up your butt that is full of barium and then they Xray how you poop. Good Luck!
