Im so embarrassed and scared! please help?!

Question: I woke up this morning and felt fine. Ate my cereal and went to work. At work I suddenly went sick and dizzy and felt sick. I got major stomach pains, went upstairs and surprise! I got diarrhoea :( I'm embarassed but also scared cuz it's really bad and I've never had it before so don't know what to do or what's caused it. I also nearly passed out twice! Help!

Oh and I'm a student and my best friend and boyfriend have gone home for the weekend and my parents live a long distance away so I have no one to help me

You may have the flu or just some sort of stomach bug. Diarrhea is caused by a lot of different things. So I really wouldn't worry... You need to rest some and keep yourself hydrated...drink water, gator aide..any kind of clear liquids is best. If you have SEVERE diarrhea then you could dehydrate. But don't stress over that much it's rare. The reason why you have diarrhea is because your body is riding itself of something that it doesn't like in it's body. So don't take any anti-diarrhea meds unless you have to be at work and you can't at anytime you need run to the bathroom. If it lasts longer than 2-3 days then I would see a doc.

Go home. You have a virus. Some people barf, some people poo. You apparently poo. Keep drinking those fluids, but go home. You do not want to share that with your associates at work.

It's nothing to worry about, just relax at home, drinking lots of water (because you lose the water from your body when you poo) until it passes.

Could be flu, lactose intolerance or Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

You have the stomach flu - as soon as you are able, run, don't walk, to the nearest health food store and buy some probiotics. This will help you get better naturally, much faster than you would otherwise.
A huge dose of vitamin C two or three times a day wouldn't hurt you either. Dissolve the tablets in water so they have a chance to digest before your body passes them.
