Answers:
Even though medicine does have an expiration date on it, you are still ok to take it!. All it means is now instead of it being 100% affective, it is 99!.8 % affective!. I save those kind of medicines also!Www@Answer-Health@Com

antibiotic resistance occurs whenever the bacteria in your body are not wiped out as much as possible by taking a full round of antibiotics!. if you take antibiotics that have expired, the efficacy (effectiveness) of the drug is in question, and it may not wipe out your illness!. it also may make you more prone to the same infection twice because you won't have rid yourself of the bacteria completely!. if the expiration date has not come and gone, they should be safe to take, but i wouldn't take them if its passed!.!.!.what's the point if they aren't fully effective anyways!? the best case scenario would be for you to call an advice nurse or your doc to see what they recommend!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is there a reason you can't get another prescription (like no insurance)!? Either way, check the expiration date on the bottle!. The date that is on the bottle is the date you should go by on whether you can still take it!. If it is within 1 month of the expiration date, you should be fine but I don't recommend taking it after that!. You won't be sick or what the other people here have described!. It just wont be nearly as effective!.

You should talk to your doctor about if you even need it!. You should avoid taking any of the -cillin family unless you absolutely have to so you don't build a tolerance to it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can't help you with your specific question but I just wanted to tell you to avoid taking it at all if you can!. Antibiotics do some nasty things to your body and immune system, and Amoxicillin specifically can ruin teeth in babies, toddlers and children!. I wouldn't take the bottle you have anyways, but I'd recommend trying something else for whatever you're taking it for!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is it expired!? If not, than it should be fine, but ask your doctor anyway!. It's better to be safe than sorry, so ask a doctor or pharmacist!.
Hope this helps!.
P!.S!. Can anyone answer this!? Please!? Thanks :): http://answers!.yahoo!.com/question/index;!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you got it last spring it should still be good!.
Most Rx's are given with an expiration date of 1 year from the day you got it!.
I wouldnt take it if it was more than 2-3 month passed the date!. Just make sure its not the kind that had o be refriged!. If it was then probably not goodWww@Answer-Health@Com

It should have an expiration date on the bottle, and you should go get a refill if necessary from your Dr!. you definitely want to sure it is effective so that it doesn't spread to your little ones!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

NO! do not use medicine if it's first of all not prescribed to you or if it's second of all over a year old! i'm pretty sure that that type of medicine goes bad after 8 weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
