If hypothyroid isn't cureable, how is mine better?!

Question: If hypothyroid isn't cureable, how is mine better!?
I was diagnosed with hypothyroid after the birth of my first child!. I became pregnant again and it appears my hypothyroid has been magically cured!. How is this possible!? Could it be because of my pregnancy and it will be back as soon as I deliver!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
hypothyroidism is as under-active thyroid (as i'm sure you're aware) the thyroid (located on the neck) is responsible for releasing thyroxin into the blood stream this helps with the release of energy in the bloodstream as you are now pregnant the body is in need of more energy so it could have kick started the thyroid into producing thryroxin again as the hormones that are present during pregnancy can do this unfortunately it is one of those wait and see questions as the thyroid will either continue it's production of thyroxin at a more normal rate or stop once you give birthWww@Answer-Health@Com

Depends on the cause of the hypothyroidism!. Sometimes thyroid problems are caused by the body's own antibodies attacking the thyroid!. During pregnancy, there are somechanges to your immune system which mean that these antibodies get somewhat suppressed!. They may come back after your pregnancy and you may need to go back on meds!. A second possibility is that you ony had transient hypothyroidism - sometimes a woman can become hypothyroid after giving birth and it is only temporary and would have gone away by itself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sometimes, pregnancy changes your thyroid function!.
Have the Doctor keep check on your TSH levels!. If they are too high, they can cause birth defects!.
Are you on Thyroid meds!? Do you see a specialist for yout thyroid!. Its an Endocronologist!. I would recomend it!.
Your pituitary Gland (in your Brain) and your thyroid are very important in hormone balance!. Pregnancy can really mess it up!. Keep a close check!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
