It's tough to answer the question without more info on the swelling, bu in a daily sense, blood vessels can be swollen if you bump that area of the blood vessel on a blunt solid object like a stone or a metal pipe!
Some just grow larger as we work out, or our body goes to growing to adults!.
Where is the vessel located!? It is possible to be a poblem, depending what it is!?!?
