How to approach someone who is malingering?!
Question: How to approach someone who is malingering!?
WE've(my wife and i) have a friend who is no doubt malingering and collecting money for pretending she has a mental illness!. Although we know people who are throughly mental and have real mental problems, this one friend surely isn't mentally ill!. She kinda uses it at a crutch and an excuse not to work and not to deal with everyday problems that we all face!. How do we tell her that what she is doing is wrong and she needs to grow up!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know your friend, but I think you should be a little more willing to withhold judgement!. Mental illness comes in many forms and you haven't indicated your credentials and basis for concluding that she is malingering!.
In my limited experience, the folks who control disability payments are not particularly prone to erring on the side of granting payments!. If you feel strongly about it, you could give them a (perhaps anonymous) tip that you are concerned about the reality of her illness!. If/when she is cut off from disability, if she still can't hold a job, it will be justice, if she ends up having to move to your couch when she can no longer afford a place of her own!. If you don't relish being part of the solution, my suggestion is that you mind your own business!.
Don't get me wrong!. You are entitled to your opinion and I wouldn't advocate your lieing on the woman's behalf if anyone comes around to interview you about your point of view regarding her alleged illness!. But rest easier than it appears you are, if no one comes around to ask you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

tell them straight out (not in a gentle manner bc/ they sumtimes take it as a weakness n use it 2 their advantages) that u no wat they r doing n they need 2 stop
if that doesnt work, then threaten them that u will involve authorities (but give it a few days b4 actually taking action)
hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com
