Weird Toungue :S !?!
Question: Weird Toungue :S !!?
Okay so i have this totally weird toungue! I think its called a tied toungue or something :S, like a peice of skin a joining my toungue to the bottom of my mouth!. Anyway its totally horrible I am really self conciance (cant spell lol) about, it never used to bother me, but now im a bit older (14lol) im consience about it when i eating infront of people, (licking ice cream ect!.) speaking and also even yawining! Im also really scared about kissing, i just dont know its going to work lol ! i need some help in building up my confidence! also does anyone know what causes it and can it be fixed !? !

My first son was 'toungue tied' when he was born!. I asked his pediatrician about it, and the pediatrician said that the ONLY reason to 'clip' that bit of skin was if my son had 'speech problems!.' He didn't !.!.!. and he grew up fine !.!.!. he reported no problems with kissing (even French kissing) and he's now the father of two gorgeous daughters!. Your tongue is NOT as 'weird' as you think, since fully 1/4 of all the people born in this world are 'tongue tied' !.!.!. and most people don't 'notice' it in others EXCEPT when a baby is crying loudly !.!.!. you are FINE and you should not be self conscious !.!.!. but if you are truly concerned, talk to your doctor about it at your next appointment, or go to the school nurse in the fall and have a talk then !.!.!. because your 'self consciousness' is far WORSE than your 'tied tongue' and you need all of the reassurance you can get!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I doubt anything I say is going to make a difference (its called your tongue web by the way) but i've NEVER noticed ANYONES tongue web before!.!.!. and everyone has one!.!. I'm sure theres a surgery!.!. It'd just be a little snip -snip!.!. Probably in and out in one day and if you get a good doctor, insurance may cover it if it "causes problems"!.!. Take a couple pics and send em to a cosmetic surgeon and see what they say :)

im sure nobody will even notice!. it probably wont even affect you!. some good news is i have never seen a person w/ that so apparently people dont notice!. i have never heard of that so i dont think people will be searching you to see if you have a 'tied tongue' =)!. trust me im sure nobody notices!!! and its not worth it to go get a painful operation!.

everyone has that piece of skin!.!.!. its just more pronounced on some people than others!.!.!.

My brother has it, no worries!. Talk to your doctor and he will refer you for an operation where they simply cut the skin to make the tounge looseWww@Answer-Health@Com
