Question: I think Ineed to go to rehab, for alcoholism, but i have no health insurance!?
What can i do!? Where can i go!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
My first thought would be to go to your county health clinic!. They should be able to direct you to a program that would meet your needs!. Or phone your local AA, etc!. and ask their advice!. Let us know how you are doing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most counties have a hospital where even uninsured people can go for health care!. Go there and discuss it with them!. They have state sponsored programs you can enroll in at little or no cost to you, and will have programs specifically for rehabilitation as well!. Good luck, I'm glad you are seeking treatment!. Don't let your lack of insurance get in your way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That depends partly on an important question: CAN you not drink when you think you shouldn't, or do you just not want to!? Beware of AA; the twelve-step program is laced with religious stuff!. That's just fine with some people, but not others!. I'm wary of their approach of convincing people they're not in control of their own actions!.

The bad news, of course, is that without insurance your options may be limited!. But first, look carefully at your options!. Some of us don't need a special program but just need to cut back!. I have to do that from time to time!. Others really do need professional help!. That part you have to decide for yourself before you seek treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Check with local rehab centers and also with your local DEHC!. Most places have free centers!. Try calling toll free numbers that should be listed in the A section of the phone book!. I just went through this with my brother!. Hang in there!. There is help out there for people with no insurance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

are you a dry drunk, a functioning drunk or what!? you need to admit to what you are then just go to a doctor, clinic or hospital !. one of those programs will give you some pamphlets and advice, but unless you man up and admit it, you're just a drunk!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you have a good job!? Find out from Human Resources if they have a program for alcohol abuse that the company will pay for!. If not, call your local county hospital to see what is available to you!. Good luck & find help through AA!. Look in the phone book!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
