Can you consciously cause your heart to stop beating?!

Question: Can you consciously cause your heart to stop beating!?
Answers:
I know its a no no!.!.!. since we have involuntary parts that make sure your body will react to the "not breathing state" or whatever you call that one!.!. like on sleeping !.!.!. we don't know if we breath properly so other parts has a responsibility in it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you can!. If you are bulimic everytime you make yourself puke it stops your heart so if you do it 3 times in one sitting, you make your heart stop 3 times and thats just at that one time!.That's why girls that are bulimic can have heart attack just like Terri Schiavo, if you remember she was in a vegetative state after having a heart attack from barfing and her husband took her off life support after quite a few years!.
But if you mean just by sitting it can be done but takes a lot practice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think so!.
The heart self-stimulates so there isn't a way to affect that from brain activity!.
It is possible to affect the rhythm of the heart with one's thoughts via the Vagus Nerve - that's how the whole "pass out when you're getting an injection" thing works!. Fear drives a strong signal out of the brainstem and messes up the heart beat, but that's a very low level function not connected to the conscious mind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It HAS been done by Indian Mystics and I remember reading about it!.!. but it takes YEARS of training to do it!.

what you CAN do, is slow down your pulse!. Years ago I had attacks of rapid heart beats and learned how so slow down the heart beat and make it regular and this just takes a year or so of training to do!. It has been a life saver for me a couple of times!. I have NEVER felt I could stop my heart beat entirely!.!. and I don't think someone without years of Yoga training could do it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i do not believe you can cause your heart to stop beating but through meditation you can cause your heart to beat slower!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
