Question: Getting rid of Tonsilliths for good
I have been getting tonsilliths in my throat for the past few years!. I hadn't known what they were till I looked it up!. They make the throat really itchy, and I wanted to know how to get rid of them!. Would removing the tonsils be the best option!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is this similar to or the same as tonsil stones!? I get tonsil stones, they smell bad and are somewhat bothersome!. They don't make my throat itch unless they get big or stuck!. Is this what you have!? If it is then yes getting rid of the tonsils will stop them, but it will also lower your body's ability to fight off infections in the upper respiratory system that your tonsils, provided they are functioning correctly, would otherwise help to fight off!. I advise you see an ear, nose and throat specialist before you consider surgery, especially if you've only visited with your GP so far!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
