Could quitting smoking influence farting?!

Question: Could quitting smoking influence farting!?
Me and a buddy of mine quit smoking last week, and ever since we have just been well, extra - extra stinky!.

Is there some way that quitting smoking might influence this!?
I was thinking that smoking does influence stomach acid production - and a change in that might influence the digestive tract further down the line, so to speak!.

Any ideas!?
And if you have an idea - will we always been this stinky!?
Its rather embarassing!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I first quit smoking, I began farting with embarrassing regularity! After a few months, it began to diminish, and now, two years into being a nonsmoker, the 'problem' is gone!.
I chose to let it run its course rather than add a medication to try to stop it!. Trust your body - it will adjust and resolve!. BTW - this farting frenzy is NOT uncommon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, farting can be caused by stress, but "extra-extra stinky" farting is caused by greasy foods!. You know, fast food, fried food!. etc!.

I'm guessing that it's because;

1) You probably are eating, as something to do with hand-to-mouth coordination (much like smoking), and the foods you are eating are "snacky things" like chips and soda and fast food!.

2) You are feeling more aggitated since you quit smoking, because you are not going outside and escaping the stress of life with a cigarrette!.
You are probably feeling a little closed in because of that, and the tension could be causing gastral problems for you!.

I'd recommend chewing gum instead of eating junk, and taking
Rescue Remedy when you want to releave stress, but don't want to fall off the "quit-smoking" wagon!. You can get Rescue Remedy at just about any health food store!. It doesn't matter how many you take per day, you cannot overdose!. It's an all-natural way to cut the stress!.
That will ease your tension and your possible stress-related gas problem!.

I quit 5 days ago and I'm having the same problem!. I thought it was just me!. Are you using anything to help you stop!? Because I thought that's what it was for me!.!.!.I'm taking chantix and using the patch!.!. My eating habits aren't much different except for the sugar free hard candy and gum!.

Good luck and congrats on quitting!! Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nicoteen affects the digestive tract, so it's possible that cutting it out would require some adjustment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try to avoid closed spaces for a while!?

Congrats on quitting smoking - I've never had to do it - but I hear its the hardest thing to quit!.

Good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com
