Wow, that's quite a long time for an antidepressant to take effect!. They often tell you to patient and that it won't kick in for 4-6 weeks, but 3 months is quite a while!.

Are you taking this medication for depression or anxiety!? You may want to revisit your doctor and ask him about the option of Xanax (alprazolam)!. It has a much quicker onset of action!. It all depends on what symptoms you're experiencing and what other surrounding factors may be affecting your life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I took Paxil for three years and am now taking generic Paroxetine; I have not noticed any difference between the two except for the appearance of the capsules!. The pharmacy where I go automatically dispenses generic medicines if they are available, unless the customer requests otherwise or the doctor specifies that a brand-name product is necessary!. I am currently on Medicare, which only covers generic medications when they are available, unless the physician submits a statement that a brand-name product is necessary and Medicare approves it!.

Overall, when I first started taking Paxil, it had a wonderful calming effect, which I needed because I was having a lot of difficulty controlling my expression of anger at the time!. I started at 25mg per day in the morning and I noticed a difference within two days!. I am now taking generic Paroxetine and I think it is beneficial for me in some ways with minimal side-effects!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
