It could!.
Sorry all I know is my own experience!.
My mum said I was ill half the time literally!. And the doctors said I was just being a child- catching everything!.
Then a family friend told her that snoring could show something to do with tonsil problems!.
And I used to snore like an old man!. My mum says she didn't need a baby alarm- it was pretty obvious I was still breathing it was so loud!

Anyway so she took me back to the doctor- told them about the snoring and I got my tonsils removed really quickly!.

Maybe you should try seeing another doctor- get another opinion!?

I am sure there are several reasons why someone snores but tonsils / adenoids could be a cause!.
My daughters snoring was awful from the time she was around 1 until she was 3!. She also had several cases of strep throat between that time and then it just wouldn't clear up!.
The end was, her tonsiles were making her very sick so they had to come out!. They took those and her adenoids out and hasn't snored since then and it has been 9 years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

See another doctor!. Many doctors want to minimize a mother's concerns!. Robin McGraw, Dr!. Phil's wife relays her book "From My Heart to Yours," that she spoke up to a doctor that was making light of her concern, and he found out she was right!. Find another doctor!. Your child's health is in your hands!. Secondly, sleep apnea causes snoring!. That is a temporary lapse in breath in sleeping!. It causes sudden infant death syndrome!. Unadressed, the problem of snoring can leave crankiness, exhaustion and inability to concentrate in a child!. It can lead to loss of oxygen and behavior problems, because snoring is a symtom!. If the snoring is light, buy some little nose strips that go across the bridge of the nose--they open nasal passages!. There are also mouthguards out there that relieve the problem!. By all means tonsils and adenoids can contribute to the problem!. Find a doctor who treats women and children like the first class citizens we are!. And by the way, consult the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, for wisdom in what to do!. Bod bless you!. Let us know how this turns out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That is strange, because snoring has to do witht he nose, not the throat!. My sister had bad snoring problems, because she had a deviated septum!. id ont think you have to worry about sleep apnea, because sleep apnea is when you fall asleep and you dont breathe, so it wakes you up all the time!. it is commonly caused by obesity!. People with stuffy noses and allergy probelms often snore!. its probably nothing to be worried about!

hope this helps, could you help me out!?

it could also mean she suffers from sleep apnea as this will often cause loud snoring!. Just keep an eye on her and look into another doctor who will look into it, as snoring is not a normal part of sleep!.

Maybe your child has a deviated septum (extra cartliage in the nose canal where the child cannot breath), is overweight or has allergies I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with tonsils!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know a little girl who snores but she had to have her adenoids removed not tonsils!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
