Question: If a person is paralyzed from the waist down, how does it effect the organs below the waist!?
Okay!. So I saw an article about about a man who's spinal cord was severed by a bullet!. All of the sudden, I wondered if the organs below the waist either stop working or work at a diminished capacity!.

It depends on the cause of the paralysis!. Sometimes people have use of but not feeling in or feeling in but not use of lower extremities!.
Edit: people don't cut paralyzed extremities off because it is not necessary and could be harmful!. Not having feeling in a part of your body doesn't necessarily mean that it is useless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well!.!.I couldn't tell u for sure, but, I used to see this guy in a bar who was paralized from a car accident!. He had a bit of and eye for the girls, and often mention that 'That' part worked just fine!.!.whilst trying to chat up!.!.whoever he thought had had a few to drink!

I can only tell you about the patients I have cared for with this!. Both could not control their bladder!. One could not control his bowels and the other had to have enemas every other day to eliminate the waste!. Neither could achieve an erection or have an orgasm!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
paralysis is a symptom where nervous system have no connection with the body part, more precisely nervous system in brain to make organs move!. but other activities, like heat transfer , blood circulation n all those stuff would be as normal!.!.hope i clear ur doubt!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I'm pretty certain that if you are paralyzed you feel nothing!. Those organs are 100% useless!. Might as well cut them all off!. I think people just don't because it would look goofy!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
