Do otic drops need to be sterile?!

Question: Do otic drops need to be sterile?
I compound medications at my pharmacy, making all sorts of creams, ointments, and capsules. We are expanding into other territories (excluding opthalmics and injectables), due to our pharmacy not having room for a sterile compounding area. We were curious, however, to see if perhaps otic drops are required to be sterile.
