Is this normal? I'm wondering.?!

Question: Is this normal? I'm wondering.?
Well, I know it is NOT normal, however, I am wondering if what I'm about to tell you is worth worrying about.
These past few years were rather different to me, for I noticed terrible mood change. I became extremely pessimistic. I feel miserable almost everyday now.
I became a slacker in school, and I was always an A student. Now seeing Cs bring me to bawling fits which last over an hour, followed by hysterical laughter. I claw at my legs and arms in anguish. I have unhappy thoughts in my head. I keep wishing death. However I am rational enough not to be suicidal.
I'm just wondering if this is a mental case, or not......

Answers:

these are things you should be discussing with a counselor. from what you wrote it seems that something triggered you to lose faith in yourself and the life you live. from your grades it sounds like you are still in high school and living with your parents. if you cant talk to them then you need to talk to someone. a trusted friend, school counselor or even a preacher or religious adviser. I am glad to hear that you are rational enough to recognize that you are having issues and not willing to act on them. It is easy to see from your point of view that you need help and are willing to seek it out but, if left unattended it could become something you may not be able to control. suicide is a permanent solution to a seemingly temporary problem. I hope that you find the help you need.

Mate I'm going threw the same problems. It's hard but your mates are there to help you! Ask your mom if you can take a say or two off school (pull a sicky) take the time to relax on xbox or ps3 trust me a good relaxation to bring you back into a tough week. It's not mental Case just a phase all boys I think go threw :)

Think about your diet, is it organic, even regular normal what's considered healthy food ? Is it balanced ? Are you being exposed to chemicals a lot, either at home, school, or nearby pollution. I don't think it's a mental thing, in fact I think most mental things are caused by our over use of chemicals, we're complex living creatures, we can take a great deal, but somethings there's no way we aren't going to be affected. Just food for thought, or it could be hormones ( which can also be way thrown off by chemicals, as shown by the baby bottle bannings)

Sounds like depression. How could you NOT worry about something that is so significantly affecting your life? Seek professional help. Good luck.

there is a reason, something happened, or your becoming mentally stupider, so its affecting your life
