PLEASE help, I am so sick with a stomach virus.?!

Question: PLEASE help, I am so sick with a stomach virus.?
This is the third or fourth time in my life that I have had this happen. This time and the last time I was diagnosed with Gastroenteritis. My symptoms started 2/03/11 at 4:30 AM. I woke up and had to use the rest room. It was diarrhea. Then not long later another burst of it. Then the third time I had to get up which was closer to 5 am had me puking as well. Once I started puking there wasn't much diarrhea left and I really haven't gone #2 since. But I puked out everything down to bile throughout the day. My roommate's girlfriend is a nurse and she gave me a few things to try and help me feel better. I held off going to the hospital because I started feeling a little better, and hadn't puked since Friday morning. But then out of no where Friday night, I started puking again hard. My body tingled all over and I broke into sweats. I lied back down till about midnight.... when I got up I decided to go to the ER, I knew I wasn't going to get better without an IV of liquids. After arriving and dealing with their BS, I finally got on an IV and laid in bed for a bit. They gave me a shot of nausea medicine into my IV and it didn't work, not too much time later I was back to puking up bile again. I mentioned it to them and they gave me some morphine and something different for nausea. I'm trying to sleep while at the hospital, but as soon as IV bag #2 was done it was time for me to go home. The doctor gave me a prescription for 25MG promethazine (phenergan) and 5MG hydrocodone for the pain in my throat from puking so much. Ever since I've been home from the ER the most I have been awake at a time is about 2 hours or so. These meds have me really tired, which I like and dislike at the same time. I like sleeping though this crap, but I know I am not getting any better. I've been drinking small amounts of gatorade and water. It seems like the gatorade makes things worse sometimes though, it causes me to have an acid feeling in my throat here and there and it's just getting gross to the point where I don't want to look at gatorade. My mouth is still dry, while I type this I try to drink a mouth full of water here and there. I haven't taken my pills yet, it's about time for them according to my dosage directions. I haven't been able to eat anything other than a little bit of jello, two times maybe? I'm just getting really worried... I suppose I feel a little better at this moment now that I am up and not so groggy. I do feel like chugging a whole bottle of water but I also think that will make me puke it up. I'm still very weak. The doctor said to go with gatorade more than water, but now I am not so sure it's helping much. The last time I full on puked was at the hospital Friday night. But Saturday afternoon right before I went to get my scripts I gagged a bit, nothing came though. I guess my stomach is so weak feeling and empty that it makes me feel like I am nauseous? Also I can't stop salivating.... is this because my body is trying to line my esophagus with mucus again? The salivating is bothering the hell out of me because I don't want to swallow it and there is also some kind of indigestion burping going on that makes me feel like the cause is the gatorade. Out of no where I'll have to burp like 6-10 small painful burps. Should I skip my meds for a little while and just try and relax and build up my hydration? I'm going to try and eat some more jello, but that won't be enough to sustain me for very long will it? Any help or opinions are greatly appreciated. I am so sick of feeling this way :(
