Do you forget what your saying in the middle of saying it too? In high school i could read whole chapters over and over again and get to the end and not even been able to recall one part of what i had just read. I have to set reminders on my phone, or leave post it notes everywhere so i remember stuff.
I know exactly how you feel. No one else quite understands what i mean by "spacey". I am now 30, but this had been happening to me for a while. I have been on ADD meds for almost 10 years. They always worked at first and then once i got used to them i'd be spacey again, so i'd stop for a few months, and go back on them when i couldn't tolerate the extreme spaceyness and they'd work for a little while and then plateau again. Every time i went to the doctors i couldn't remember what my symptoms were, so i never brought them up and kept taking the ADD meds. Then in like October i was at my gyno's and i had asked her some questions thinking it could be my pill or thyroid, and she put me on anti-depressants (there is no way i ever would have thought i was depressed really, i just thought i became less fun because i was an adult now) and they have been working really good so far. i'm not nearly as spacey as i was, and i have a lot more "get off the couch and do something" in me then i have possibly ever. and i have actually become a lot more social (for me that was huge, i used to hate talking to people because i'd forget my sentence in the middle of saying it, and if what they had to say didn't interest me, then i couldn't pay attention).
I just went through a bunch of psychological tests to see if it was something else, i haven't gotten the results back yet, but if there is some info i get that i think could help you i'll post an update.
I hope this helped a little, I'd talk to your doctor and they may be able to help point you in the right direction too.

Someone with ADD couldn't ask this question. I'm serious, they can't sit down and right something this long. They would have gotten distracted or just left about a third into this.
