It takes me 2-3 hours to fall asleep every night. What can I do to fall asleep f!

Question: It takes me 2-3 hours to fall asleep every night. What can I do to fall asleep faster?
So yeah. It takes me 2-3 hours to fall asleep every night. I've tried everything. Staring at the ceiling for a long time, counting sheep, master baiting in bed (I looked it up, it helps some people get tired) & other methods.

I don't want to take sleeping pills because I am only a 15 year old boy, and that would fu*k my future life up I bet. So are there any methods that might work for me? To sleep way faster.

Also, I know it takes 30 minutes for your brain to switch off after being on a computer, or playing video games. So I know not to play them an hour before I sleep. What are some other tips or methods? Eating a certain time? Etc.

You may laugh at this, being you are a 15 year old boy..But I recently got a sleeping mask. You can pick one up at Walgreens for like five dollars. The thing works wonders. I have had such issues falling asleep. Trust me!
Also, they sell machines that make sounds like waves, or just blind noise. So I turn that on, put my mask on and I am out like a light. Good luck buddy!

Unable to switch off at bedtime is very common.

Common sleep aids include warm milk, Chamomile tea, 5-HTP, Melatonin and Valerian.

If you are having trouble switching off at bedtime some light exercise at bedtime often helps you to relax, unwind and switch off and that often improves your sleep. Strenuous exercise at bedtime is likely to ruin your sleep.

You have to stop thinking so much and stop concentrating so much on going to sleep. If you are constantly thinking you'll definitely have trouble falling asleep. So what people usually do for meditation and hypnosis is focus on your breathing. Just try to relax and whenever you realize your mind is straying away, focus it back on your breathing.... idk its worth a try!

if you wanna sleep faster then you have to work hard at day time and have to take enough meal before sleep.try to make your body tried

Well, I usually fall asleep faster when I listen to music. I keep my laptop on my desk next to my bed with the ear phones plugged in. I have a playlist on youtube of soft songs that help me sleep. Songs like Rocket Man-Elton John, Carry You Home-James Blunt, Round Here-Counting Crows, Let it Be-Beatles, and A Comet Appears-The Shins help me fall asleep fast. You should try it. Just don't play the music too loud.

I used to have the same problem as you. It's mainly because I got so used to staying up late, that I couldn't fall asleep on a regular schedule anymore. I started listening to music and I began to fall asleep a lot faster.

The music helps me stop thinking so I can finally sleep. I usually think to much while trying to sleep which keeps me awake.

EDIT:
How do you lay on your bed? It helps me when I lay on my stomach with my arm over my head. Then my head is turned to the right sort of under my arm. I sleep like that every night, and it takes me forever to sleep any other way. Maybe you just need to find your best sleeping position.
