Do I have synesthesia?!

Question: Do I have synesthesia?
So I am just wondering if I have synesthesia. I realized that I think of the year in an oval. I did not realize this until I heard someone talking about it. I can see the year very clearly in my head, and it is an oval shaped close to the shape of a running track. The months are all clearly stated on the outside of the oval, but they are not all the same length.. For instance the summer months are very long, and take up the whole long side of the oval while September, October and November are a lot shorter and all fit on and slightly around the shortest part of the oval. The months also have slightly vague colors, like October is a kind of burnt yellow, and January is a light blue. I know it sounds really weird! But I have always thought of it this way, and If I try to think of the months in a different shape, I just can't. It doesn't work in my brain:P I don't see colors or anything in the air, which leads me to think that I may not have it. I kind of have colors for letters, but some are a lot more distinct than others. For example "J" is a pinkish purple, and "U" is a yellowish brown. Those I have always known were the colors for those letters. But some letters don't really have a color. The last thing I have noticed are personalities of numbers. Ever since I could count I HATED the number 121. I don't know what it is, but that number just is selfish and mean. I have also always loved the number 2. It is very innocent, and nice. For some letters I would have to think about them for a bit until I could describe their personality, but they are all different. Thank you so much for replying. I don't know if this made any sense, or if it sounds really weird, but it is just how I think. If I did have synesthesia it would probably be very mild. THANK YOU!!

Answers:

Yes, everything you mentioned is synesthesia.

Time-shape (also called concept synesthesia) is a fairly common type. So is grapheme-color - and it's okay that not every letter has a color. Associating months with colors is unit of time-color synesthesia. If numbers or letters have personalities, it's called ordinal linguistic personification or OLP.

If what you experience is involuntary and consistent, you can safely call yourself a synesthete.
