White stuff stuck in the lining of my throat?
My throat has been sore the past few days. I finally decided to examine the back of my throat and it's small white stuff stuck in the lining of my throat on the left side. It's making my throat really sore. What is it, where does it come from and how can I get rid of it? Someone told me it's built up mucus. Usually if I cough really hard it will come out but it's not this time. I'm getting worried because it's more there than usual.

You need a strep test. Exudate on your tonsils is a sign of bacterial infection. Don't delay seeing your doctor, strep can become complicated causing rheumatic heart and sometimes kidney problems. Hope you feel better soon.
