Im not getting an answer so im just asking again about my piercing?

i just got this lip piercing and they gave me a ring which i dont like and it bugs me so i was wondering how long before i can take it out and switch it with this straight one i bought?

i did listen to everything he said though, he did say it would take about 6 weeks to heal and that it might be swollen up to 4 days & to go back if i had any questions [its closed right now the seeing as its so late at night] or if it got infected but he didnt mention anything about changing the ring, i should have asked but i just didnt think of it at the time, thnks again ♥
