I am about to QUIT smoking ......?

I am joining my local stop smoking group next week. I am interested in the new drug CHAMPIX (the first nicotine free therapy that has had a lot of media coverage).... has anyone else tried it and what did you think?

Tried the patches ... gum .... lozengers .... Zyaban .... you name it I've tried it. I'm good at stopping smoking, it's staying stopped that I find hard.
Gave up for 2.5 months this year .... then started again cause I was stressed after a job interview .... got the job but then back on the fags!!!!

Geff W ... I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing here. I have been sent info from the smoking group and it has a picture of the box on it and it is definetly called CHAMPIX ( Varenicline Tartrate) ... Thanks for the info xxx

i used it at the start of the year-didnt get any obvious side effects and i did give up-unfortunately i then went to oz for a holiday and stupidly bought some fags-not cos i craved nicotine still- just simply after the awful flight saw them in the shop- sadly im back on 20 a day now- but it just shows that if i can do it then anyone can- just to let u know 8 of us went on champix at worik and here are the results
1 person stopped takin it because it made her feel very ill
1 person had side effects but still has not had a *** months later
4 took it with little or no side effects and still have the occasional ***
and 2 including myself took it -stopped then stupidly started again- good luck it does help you although the only thing thats gunna stop u from buying them again weeks/months or years after is you x RE-jeff its called chantix in the us but in the uk its called champix-
