Can you hold your stream?

A nurse asked me to take two urine samples, the first cup i knew how to do, the second cup she said I had to hold my stream then release the rest of my pee into it..make sense???anywayyy who can honestly hold their stream and take two samples during one stream????

I would imagine this would be more difficult for a woman. Of course I have no way of knowing as this is not typical male/female discussion. You may have to be willing to "get your hands dirty". Sounds bad I know but, that's why there is soap and water. Good luck with that.
