What happens when someone wakes up from a coma?
I'm writing a story that involves someone waking up from a two year coma, and I'd like to know what problems they would have. Whether they would be disorientated. Anything really. I've tried Google-ing it but I haven't got any helpful answers.

There's a programmme on Monday night at 9pm, ITV I think, about someone who awakes from a coma after 18 years. I'd assume that even after 2 years disorientation would be a huge problem. Ageing - not looking like you did when you went into a coma and children changing dramatically- life moving on without you - maybe a partner not waiting for you - general economic affairs - such as change in PM - technology moving on - mobile phones etc. Hope that helps and good luck x
