Question:

Problem eating to much.?

I have a big problem. I think I'm addicted to food. When there is food around I have to keep eating and eating until its gone. I'm doing it right now. This has never been a huge deal to me because I seem to stay the same size (I'm actually quite skinny) but I just quit smoking so now I'm afraind I may start eating even more and gaining weight. I'd also like tips on how to stop binge eating just for health issues. I'm not going to be young my whole life, so I'd like to stop this habit while I can.


Answers:

1) Learn about healthy foods and what foods help to fill you up. Educate yourself

2) Only cook or provide the correct quantity of food for one person in any one sitting. Never more. Lay this on the table and eat it.....teach yourself to leave at least one mouthful of it.

3) Only have healthy foods in the house. It seem difficult at first, but you must re educate your taste buds and stomach

4)If you are hungry in between meals, eat carrot sticks or celery or fruit and drink water....often people mistake thirst for hunger, so try this first.

Basically you have recognized a cycle and that is the first major step to breaking the cycle. Now equip yourself with the information to allow yourself to eat healthily for life.
