Hello, I had a baby 2 weeks ago. Of course I had to have an IV put in my hand. Anyway, I had the IV on for about 24 hours maybe a little longer. Now two weeks later the vein where the IV was put is very sore and hard. It hurts to touch it and tto even bend my wrist. The part that hurts isn't where the needle went in but lower. Right above my wrist area. Is this normal or should I be worried?

A little soreness is normal as you heal. If you start developing red streaks or pus or any drainage, I would go to the doctor.
The best thing is to wash the area daily with Dial soap and water and keep the area open to air. It needs to breath to heal, so don't cover with a bandage.
If it doesn't get better, go see your doctor.
