I'm having trouble seeing..should i order contacts online and just increase the prescription by a little bit??

I don't have an eye doctor's appointment til December...and i only need to buy one box

ask the eye doctor to see you before your next appointment b/c you can harm your eyes more by raising your own prescription w/o any knowledge of what you're doing. i have had many times where i have had to come in before my scheduled appointment b/c of changes or problems with my eyes and they are here to help you and your eyes so i don't think it will be a problem. plus you can usually buy as many as you need at a time so if you only need one box, you will probably be able to order ONE box.
