Bunion surgery!! Help please?!

Question: okay, im going to get surgery for my bunion (hopefully soon)...

both of my feet are deformed. so do you think I should do both of my feet at the same time and recover faster in a wheelchair?? or one feet then the other and wait a longer period with crutches?

im 17 and it's really painful at the moment.. what's taking my doctors so long?!?!?!?! >_<; ..............

my parents hate the idea of surgery but i could care less.. now they're giving me these.. feet "massages" when they put massaging oil on my feet and rub in hard enough for me to be screaming out in pain.. IS THIS RIGHT?? IS IT BETTER FOR MY FEET??? IS THIS CONSIDERED AS PHYSICAL ABUSE? IF IT IS, IMA PUNCH MY MOM. LOL.

I might tend to try getting orthotics for your shoes. I have bunions and bunionettes (on the outside by the baby toe) and the pain was excrutiating. I was fitted with a good pair of orthotics for my shoes and I can't believe the difference it's made.........it doesn't make the bunions go away but being pain free is wonderful. Bunion surgery is extremely painful and takes months to fully recover from it.
Massaging won't help bunions!

I would probably reccomend getting both done at the same time, but first check with your doctor to see if you will be weight bearing afterwards. I definately think a surgery will be a good thing, though painful at first. One of the girls at my work had 2 knee replacements done at the same time (yes that is different than bunion surgery), and she totally reccommended it.

I just had bunion surgery on 12/20. The recovery is quite painful, I must admit. As of 1/10, I still feel pain, especially when driving and walking, which I don't doo too often. I can't imagine having both done at the same time because I have a toddler. If you will have someone around the house to help you out, I say get it over with and go for it! :-) Good luck!
