My son has a clump of eyelashes stuck in the corner of his eye. HELP!?!

Question: He said something about it to me last night, and I tried to move them out but he was throwing a fit because he didn't want me messing with it (He's 7) so I gave up and figured they would maybe come out after he slept. Nope. I didn't have time to mess with it this morning, and actually forgot about it because he didn't mention it again. Well, I got a call from the Nurse's office, and he had come down there complaining about it. She tried to get them out and couldn't. Does anyone know what I could do? I am a single mom and don't have much money. I will take him to the eye doc if I need to, but it seems so silly to me--it shouldn't be that hard. Please offer suggestions. I really appreciate it!

GENTLY, take hold of his eyelid, and lift it, while doing the same wth the lower lid. the lashes should come out, though it may take a little movig left to right. good luck

You should get some plain eye drops and try to flush them out just by squirting the drops in at a steady stream. This should work.

try to wash it off, perhaps a long shower, it might come out on it's own, if it is in the outer of his eye (not inside) use witch hazel to rub it out, it works as a makeup remover. if it wount come out then i suggest taking him to the doctors, having it stay there for too long might irritate his eye further and who knows what could happen

They will eventually come out in one green blob when the eye wants it out.

Is there an eye-washing station in the tech room or science room he could use at the school? maybe not because it is an elem. school. But worth a try, good luck!!

It is conjunctivites or it could be kertatemalcia (if it is really bad). I would know because i used to be a doctor in my mid 30s. Using cotton wool, soaked in warm water, every morning gently brush over his eye and eyelashs (his eyes should be closed) and until it goes and after for a week. Hopefully that will help.

first have him take a shower with his face facing the shower head, and rub his eyelids in circles, if that doesnt work tell him to cry, the purpose for tears is to wash out the eye, hope this helps
