Question: I am a rather healthy guy. I got a steady diet, no candy nor fast food. I go to the gym. And i very rarely ever get sick. But last night i went into target to purchase something... and as i paid i started getting dizzy. I walked fast to my car and once i went in i blacked out and started throwing up. i was so dizzy and nauseas that i couldn't even move. I sat in my car for an hour and a half before I had finally called my mother and brother to pick me up. I threw p acouple of times but does any know what the hell this could be. I've never had anything like that happen to me.???

it sounds like you "bottomed out." You don't have to be hypoglycemic, nor diabetic to have this happen....just a lack of glucose in the blood when the body demands more for energy. Your muscles probably started pulling glucose away from your brain (which is a "glucose hog") and it simply shorted itself out (for lack of a better phrase.)

If it really worries you, though...go to your doctor and explain what'd happened. It may be better to be safe than sorry.

If you still have these symptoms, then get off your computer and go right to the ER.
If you do not, then ask your PCP to check you out today.

Sounds like you picked up a vicious stomach bug -- it's going around here as well.

I hope you feel better soon -- if you don't perk up by tomorrow, you probably need to call the doctor.

It could have been lack of sugar or a small virus you weren't aware of. Your symptoms describe a panic attack. Was the store busy? Could you have suffered a claustrophobic moment?

Lack of steady nutrition! Allow yourself fast foot and candy, your body needs the fat and sugar - just don't over do it!

I don't know, but I wouldn't mess around! Get to your doctor as soon as possible!

Sounds like food poisoning to me. Sorry to hear you had to deal with that. If it persists for more than 24 hours, make an appointment with your doctor. Do you have a fever? Could be a stomach virus too.

the dizzyness could mean your anemic or low in sugar. Sometimes when I am so hungry I get nausea to the point where I gag and could throw up. You might be getting sick too with the flu or something. if it continues I would call the doctor

it could be lack of sugar but i highly doubt it i would suggest that you go to docter if it happens again if not before it happens again because next time you could be driving and blackout and that would not be a good thing at all..
good luck i hope you feel better...

It could be the lack of sugar or more likely you are coming down with something. If you think it was the sugar you might want to see your doctor and have it checked. A healthy lifestyle does not guarantee that you'll stay healthy.

I know that if my "sugar" gets low, I usually get shaky, and nauseous. If I eat it stops. I guess it could continue for some time if I didn't get something to eat right away. However, you could have picked up a stomach virus or something like that. You sound like a healthy guy, but sometimes that's not enough to keep a virus from attacking you. I hope you feel better today.

Go with answer #1. Get checked out ASAP

have the doc check your blood sugar level

I would suggest going in for a check up and explaining to your doctor what happened. It could be something as simple as sugar or something more serious. Just to be on the safe side I would really encourage you to go.
