Question: I found ou I might have broken my ankle (long story short I hurt myself on my bike 2 weeks ago hasnt gotten better got worse actualy)
Anyways I might have to get a cast, how long does it take? Does it take a long time?
Does it take longer to get a color cast?

Getting a cast put on takes very little time at your local hospital once the bone is positioned correctly.
It's Waiting for it to be ready to come off that's the bummer. Depending on your break, it may be on for 4-8 weeks with the average being about 6.
When it's ready....zip.....they cut it off with a special saw that wont hurt your skin.

doesn't take long......what takes so long is waiting for the doctor.
It takes longer waiting for the doctor in the waiting room, and then waiting for him to get into your room, then it does to get the cast. The cast only takes about 10 minutes.
If you need a cast because you may have broken a bone you should have had it checked when you thought you broke it. You do know that if it is broken and you wait to long the doctor will have to re-break it to realign the bones that have grown back together wrong!
