Why have I lost my voice and my throat is "not" sore.?!
Question: I have a bit of sinus drainage but thats all. It usually stops up at night and clears up during the day. I can't talk. I can only whisper??????????? Any Thoughts.

You have laryngitis. It is usually viral inflammation of the vocal cords but doesn't always have to involve the throat. The sinus drainage may be reaching the area at night and contributing to the irritation. You need an antihistamine, motrin, humidity and vocal rest. If the change in voice persists for more than three weeks visit an otolaryngologist.
I have been suffering from loss of voice for 30yrs. I finally went to a specialist and found that I have granulomas on my vocal cords. They show up for some unknown reason and disappear on their own. Talk to your Dr, it could be something or nothing.
