Is my friend going to be okay after his head injury???!

Question: Okay, so my friend has been in a hospital for a few days now, and he woke up out of a coma. The coma was drug-induced because the doctors wanted him to heal, all because he got hit by a landing helicopter and he fell down and his head got fractured.... I have been talking to him for the past days (after he woke up) and he seems to remember me, but i need to know if he will ever get all of the memory back. He has 13 fractures in his head, but he is healing.I really love him and i just want things to be normal.

So really my question is.. Will he ever get all of his memory back?? And how long is it going to take for him to get back up on his feet??

Ok thanks for answering

Unfortunately, only time will tell with this kind of injury with both the memory and the "getting back on his feet." Good luck to both of you!!

It will take some time at least 6 months, he has had a serious blow to the head. Did they do an MRI? Sometimes after such a hard hit , you can lose your memory for a while. Just keep supporting him through this because he needs you. Good luck and hope he feels better soon.

Unfortunately there's just no way to know. The good thing is that 1) it didn't kill him, 2) he did wake up, 3) he's able to talk and seems to know who you are...You have to focus on the positives because it could have been SO much worse. With brain/head injuries, there's just no real predictable time line. Be patient, be there for him, and it wouldn't hurt any to pray. Maybe you already did that--but it won't hurt to continue....Good luck to you both.

It will depend on how badley he was injured and what brain damage there was , if any.
Your best source of information would be his parents , the doctors arent likely to talk to you about his condition .
You will get some idea if you can talk with him about stuff you did in the past. Just dont upset him if he doesnt remember .

maybe..i am not sure

i will pray for him

ummmm most likly no
but there is one thing to look on the bright side of he still remebers somethings!!! some pple have to remeber everything all over again!!!

but i really really wish him to a fast recovery
...just remeber he needs u right now!

hey you need to be patient and as time passes he will remember thing by thing just be patient and give him clues about his past and how he is

Only God and time has the answer to that question, but let's pray for a full recovery!
