I broke my arm a few months agooo
it was my radius...it just snapped right out after my friend accidenlty tripped me
lol
My doc said I shoudl scratch it, but pshh i didnt listen
lol
I used a flexible ruler, cuz my 1st and 2nd cast went to right under my elbow ( i had a plaster and ace bandage splint=5 days...a pink cast=2 weeks...and a soccer ball cast=1 1/2 months)
So i used a ruler thing...and it worked pretty good...i kept it in the sling when i had the ace bandage thing over my elbow, and then i carried it in my purse the rest of the time
Hope this helps??
yeah that's happened to me before... broke my wrist in august too so it was boiling, and I couldnt go swimming :(
try using a ruler! not as sharp as knitting needles
use a coat hanger , they bend.
That awful itch after a while was worse than the pain from the broken ankle and there was no way to reach my itch.
It itches because it is healing. Don't be crazy and put a coat hanger or anything up into the cast. If you accidentally break the skin, you could get a nasty infection under your cast. Then your doctor would have to take the cast off to take care of the infection, and then have to replace the cast with a new one. Ask your doctor, he'll tell you the same thing.
TAP THE AFFECTED AREAS WITH YOR HAND. and DONT use a metal object cuz u might scratch your self and then it might get infected and u cant do anything about it.
