Work? Or no?!

Question: I've been feeling sick the last few days. No fever, but now today my stomach is killing me! I've toughed it out at work, but am scared if I go in today I'll get sick there. What should I do? I've got no fever, and hours 'till I'm scheduled. But I can't wait too long to call and say I won't be in. I'm nauseous, and my head is stuffed up? What is this!?

I have the same thing right now! So does everyone in my house too.

I would call in sick. You don't want to risk spreading it to anyone else in your work place, especially if you are working with clients.

Or, if you feel the need to go in, let your boss know that your not feeling well, and then if you start feeling worse, then he may let you go home. Going in even when you don't feel good shows effort and commitment to your job.

Hope you feel better!

Don't go in because you won't be able to work. You'll be too focused on feeling sick.

If you are only nauseous try some pepto bismal or other anti- nausea drugs, and sudafed for the head congestion. Calling in is frowned upon unless you are completely down. They will hold it against you during performance evaluations and raise time. If you actually vomit, well, stay home. You may be nauseous from the post nasal drip from your stuffy head. Mucus cant get out your nose, so it runs down to the belly. This can be sickening.

heres my opinion go to a doctor and get his opinion. a doctors note legally keeps u from having to appear at work for that particular day without reprocussions. but it doeds sound like u are fairly ill. not deathly ill so a lil rest time sounds necessary. but go see ur doctor cuz i could be wrong im not one. i quite before my degree was done. so legally my advice is all it is. ok.
