nasty to hear

It hurts...
To fix it: Go to an orthapedic. Get your toe in its rightly spot and then wait for a couple of months.

maybe you should go to a doctor

can't move it and inflamed.

You should know if it hurts or if you can move the bone out of place. Yes, they might use a cast or have surgery.

normally if you can't bend it that would be a sign. also if it is swelling like crazy and discolored. if it's broken they'll put it back in place and put a cast or something like that on it. you should go see a doctor if you think its broken; if you wait too long you could permanetly damage the toe.

when i thought i broke my toe i went to the ER to have them take X-rays to see if it was broken. My toe was fine, but my foot ended up being broken! still, all i had was a walking shoe for a week or two, so its no biggie.

if its broken it hurts. If it hurts, go to a doctor. If it IS broken you have a surjery....?

you can't move it properly and the obvious one, it hurts..

It hurts a lot. I've broken mine several times. Unless it is hanging by the skin, there isn't much physicians can do. To immobilize the toe, tape it to the one next to it for a few days.

it hurts, you can't bend or move it, its swollen. It it's broken they will set the bone back as best they can, splint it and let it heal. If I were you, I'd just let it heal as is, it will add character to your foot.

if it hurts like hell and you hobble when you walk because you can't put weight on it. it might also be bruised.

to fix it they usually strap it tight to the next toe along and it will heal itself.

You know if it's broken if it hurts for a couple days. You might have injured your nail bed, which extremely hurts the first few hours...

you will know if it is broken because it will hurt and you wont be able to put any weight on it. also you could see how it is the next day incase its just been twisted or jarred.

When you first break it, usually by kicking something or droping something on it, it will hurt like heck. If it angulated or jammed it needs to be pulled firmly and straighten. This is going to hurt again, don't jerk it just a firm steady pull. The toe will usually actually turn black and take about a month for the color to come back . You don't say which toe but the toe is usually wrapped with a couple of wraps of guauze and taped to the toe next to it and just try not to stress it or re-injure and let it heal which will take a few weeks. A xray is the only way to see the break for sure.

You probably won't be able to walk on it. Your toes are what hold you up. I broke my toe once before. I was on crutches for about a week. And they just wrapped something around my toe.
