What should be needed after a head injury?!

Question: So my boyfriend ended up in A&E last night after hitting his head pretty bad. He's at home now after getting his head glued and he said he feels fine, no headaches etc. But what can he expect next? Will there be any check-ups, and what should happen in them? Is there anything we can do to make sure he's ok in the meantime?

Keep an eye on him. If the hospital discharged him, he should be fine but people have gone to sleep and never woken up after getting serious concussion before. I also know a guy who was pretty crazy for a while after he fractured his skull and he had seizures and crap. But again, the hospital discharged him so I wouldn't worry too much at all. Buy him a cake. People like cake.

If CT or MRI scan have been done and there was no internal injury, you don't need to worry. Otherwise get it done.
All the best.

he should be observed by a competent surgeon/doctor and if they find some symptoms that indicate that he's not ok, the docs will tell what test to undergo. don't rely on what he says "he feels fine". i know sumone who met with the same accident and they just found our after 30 years that he has a tumor in his brain...so better consut the docs and undergo tests if he needs one..
