Pain in/under right ribs!?!

Question: I had a painful feeling near the bottom of my right ribs. I couldn't take a deep breath of air in because it would hurt me to. Any movement would cause me pain in that area too. It lasted for two days and then went away but left an uncomfortable feeling where it was hurting for a few hours after the pain stopped. The pain made me feel like my right lung collapsed but it didn't. I spoke to a doctor and he said it was nothing to worry about but I'm not sure whether he understood what it was exactly and I was wondering if anyone could explain what happened??

Well, if you can, it may be a good idea to see an internist. There are organs in that vacinity like your liver that could have a problem. It couldn't hurt to be examined just to be on the safe side. If you have been partying alot lately it can affect your liver. If it happens again I'd have it checked out just as a precaution. Another thought is that you stated you spoke to a doctor, but did he take a chest xray or feel the area? Always possible to have a tiny fracture in a rib that could only be seen by xray. That would heal pretty fast so not a huge deal, but would just be nice to know what it is, right?

If your a female, try a good support bra. If it occurs again, go to the doctor while you have the pain or if you have trouble breathing, go to a ER if you cannot get your doctor. There are second opinions.

Pal you have "Gallstones"..I would see a Dr. to confirm. The only other pain in that area would be your liver...See a Dr.
An x-Ray will confirm if it is a gallstone attack...Good luck.
