I would always suggest going to Miejers or Jewel and looking for Melatonine tablets, its a natural sleep aid found in milk, thats why people always give thier kids warm milk at night, to make them go to sleep. this really helps me fall asleep and works pretty much instantly, you'll usually feel so tired before you go to bed
( if you take one) that you can barley walk, but it only last 7-8 hours so that you for sure wont be drousy in the morning, Good Luck and i really feel bad fro you, i know what its like not getting enough sleep!

P.S. if you wake up in the middle of the night, whatever you do DO NOT turn a light on, after being asleep for a period of time, the body has ajusted to the new light and stage of sleep, and naturally if you wake up and your pupiles are exposed to any light, it will make it nearly impossible for you to fall asleep again, WHY? becuase of a natural stimulation in the brain that when exposed light, basicly says OK OK im awake! Good Luck!!!

talk a medicine to help you sleep faster.

Ny-Quil ... lol ...tylenol pm .... vicks ...

Trust me : NEVER F::::::ING DRINK ANY CAFFEIN BEFORE BED! THAT INCLUDES TEA

I AM JUST LIKE YOU!!! OK well i got medicine from the doctor, but you could take some Tylenol PM it should help you sleep better! but really think about going to the Doctor

Don't watch tv or be on the computer before you go to bed. It makes it harder for your brain to wind down.

I'd suggest not listening to hard music while you sleep either, soft classical as background noise is a good idea, you can also try to have a fan or something in the background to block out all other noise.

Complete and utter darkness helps me a ton, turning the alarm clock numbers away from me helps me relax too.

You should do lots of physical activities during the day such as exercising/jogging. You'll feel tired by the time you lay down at night. Also try sleeping at the same time routine each day. Sleep with the lights off and keep your body warm.

Hit yourself in the head with a sledge hammer every night! OOPS, forgot make sure to take when ready 2 go to sleep, it takes effect immediately, and make sure you can devote 16hours of sleep before operating anything, let alone machinery!!! Good Luck!!! LOL!

warm milk before you go to bed will help also some warm tea

Best thing to do is examine your diet. Exercise is also good and will help but without correct diet it won't help long term.

Try taking some multivitams and eating more fruits, vegetables and seafood. If you're not putting the right fuel in your body won't work correctly, including your brain.

The easiest and best tasting way to make sure you're getting lots of veggies is to drink V8 juice or have vegetable soups. Seafood is important to brain function and if there is any neurological reason for your sleep issues - then the long chain Omega 3's in seafood can help with that, Omega 3's are like fuel for your brain (taking fish oil before you go to bed can also help you have more vivid dreams and remember them)

If you're after the quick fix with minimum effort or commitment go for what ActorBoy suggested - Melatonin is the body's natural sleep hormone, it's found in all living creatures and regulates the cicadian rythm (ie, when you're active/not active throughout the day).
