I would call my doctor and insist he give me something stronger for the pain. I did this one time and he came out and gave me a morphine pill. I was floating but pain free.
How about your insurance company? don't they have to send someone to take care of you, at least few hours a day?
Try and get soem support from family/friends, you could alwayas telephone the hospital ward that sent you home and explain the situation they may be able to advise you better than the on call GP.
I would let my providing physical know you are still in pain. He can help there and perhaps get you into a pain management therapy. I am in chronic pain myself, but my doctors monitor me. So yours may be able to do the same with you. Don't just let it go... it can raise your blood pressure and there maybe something else going on that didn't get fixed or an infection or something that needs attention.
Where are you? What to do now varies in different countries. Add details of where you are and you may (hopefully) get some useful answers. I know what it's like and empathise with you, sadly that's all I can do.
