When I had braces the doctor told me to wash my mouth with warm salt water and it does work. Use the salt water a couple of times a day. Also the doctor should have a wax (also found at wal mart and such stores) apply the wax the the metal and it'll protect your mouth.
I have braces too so I know what its like. There is no true way of reducing the pain just try taking motrin(if u can). They should get better in 1-5 days. If they don't, contact your orthodontist/ dentist. If you are hungry, drink milkshakes and try eating soft things to get used to the braces. Feel better!
Tylenol , or Advil
lies the way i did it s i got orajel for the gums....sensodyne toothpaste for the sensitvity and motrin for those thumping pains of freshly tightened braces... feel better trust youll get used to it quicker than u think
