Bruised Rib?!
Question: I was fighting in a Karate tournament and took a hard kick to my left side. At the time it hurt, but the pain subsided within about 30 seconds and I was fine to continue fighting afterwards as well as competing in the Kata divisions. About 4 hours later my rib started feeling sore and has continued for about a week. I've been doing some pretty light training since then, however it hurts when i breath in or touch my side. Do you think its bruised and if so, is there any way to speed up the healing process?

You might have cracked a rib. My husband's coworker sneezed hard and cracked a rib, lol. She had trouble breathing heavy, and fully bending over for weeks. Your doctor could probably just touch it, and determine.
