Recently got stitches in my head- Can I exercise?!

Question: I cracked my head open on Tuesday and had to get 6 stitches. Well I actually hit my head twice, in the same place (I'm an idiot) and bled a whole lot that day.. lost a good amount of blood.

I didn't get dizzy though-- and had a clear head throughout the whole thing. I also got a tetanus shot. It is now Thursday, can I go to the gym today? Maybe I shouldn't run. But if I wanted to could I? Is it bad if I do cardio or weights? What will happen if I physically exert myself? I just don't want anything bad to happen to my stitched up head. Thanks for any advice or information.

yes

Ouch..Dont exercise, just take it easy for a couple weeks. Give yourself a break, will ya?

Rest, dont over stress your body. It still needs time to heal.

My first thought is when you exercise, that will get your blood circulating and might make the injured area hurt or throb a bit. Did they tell you how long the stitches should stay in? Maybe if it is only a week, maybe you could stick to light exercise until then eg. go for a brisk walk. Good luck.
