What did I do to my eye?!

Question: I was using my binoculars and when I pulled them away my eye started hurting like crazy. I immediately went to flush out whatever had gotten in there, but I never saw any debris nor did the flush help. The pain seems to be centerered in one location and only when I blink or look in a certain location. It is not red or bloody or anything, but it has been hurting for twenty minutes or so all the same. Did I cut it? Is there really something in there? Help!

Something might have scratched your cornea. If you feel relief when your eye is closed this might be the case.
You can go to the ER and get them to look with a special light and see if there are any scratches. If something is in there, they'll do a flush.

If your cornea is scratched, you might have to wear a patch for a day or two but it'll heal surprisingly quick.

Might have gotten a little cut on your eye lense, this happened to me and it hurt for about a week or two. There are eye drops you can get, and avoid touching that eye. When I rinsed it with cold water ( gently ) it provided temporary relief.

It might be from seeing in the binoculars for too long. I honestly have no idea how you could have cut it, but if you did, then you may need to see an opthohlmologist or something.

Maybe you should go to a local doctor's office if the pain is excruciating. It may be just an eyelash that got stuck in there. Or a piece of dust. Use eyedrops.
