Help please! so much pain right now. :(?!


Question: i was sleeping and i woke up because of sharp pain in my legs..its like cramps or something idk ive never felt it before but its killing me..i could barely get out of bed to walk here..i cant sit down because bending my legs makes it worse..the pain is so intense. what do i do?

I'm sorry, love, but it seems you are experiencing a dreaded calf/leg cramp! They can be so debilitating that you can't walk or move the leg at all!

These are very common and are things that pass with time (meaning minutes) but you can try to massage them away. They are excruciating at times but harmless. Drink some water and massage those muscles! I promise you they will go away!

It would seem you have a Charley Horse. I have no idea why they are called that. You can hop in a warm shower to help it relax, but usually just walking on it will help. If it reoccurs or continues for more than about 15 minutes, you should go to the ER.

Eat a few bannas's. They contain a large amount of potassium. This also helps.

If you're growning, these things can be quite common. I've had them numerous times in the past, and yes, they are absolutely horrible.

Another possibility is that you did not stretch properly after excercise, and now your muscles are cramping up when you sleep. Make sure to spend a good time stretching before a workout (after warming up, of course) and after the workout.

To relieve the pain, you can take an over the counter painkiller, and apply heat to loosen up the muscles as you stretch them. When I have a cramp in my calf, I keep a heat pad on it for a good 15 mins, then stretch it, then heat, then stretch. Do this for a while, and your cramp will not be as likely to return that night.

WHENEVER YOU WILL FEEL IT IMMEDIATELY PRESS AND ROLL A ROUND PEN OR PENCIL OR JIMMY OVER YOUR MIDDLE FINGER OF THAT SIDE(HAND OR FOOT). PAIN WILL DISAPPEAR WITHIN FEW SECONDS.
DO IT ON ALL SIDES OF FINGER.
