Take long deep breaths. If you can't sleep, don't lay in bed, it only makes things worse.
Don't look at your clock.
Close your eyes and try to focus on the blackness of the back of your eye lids, or try to focus on nothingness.
chamomile tea
go workout and get ur body tired... or watch tv with the volume turned down as low as u can go and be barely able to hear it,...
Try washing dishes or cleaning to get yourself really tired before bed....then take a warm bath!
Thats what i do and it knocks me right out!
I listen to light classical music; also use an eye mask for total darkness.
