One of my fingers got caught in a closing door and now its very swollen. What do!
Question: Ice it down and keep it elevated. If you can't move it, it could be broken. I'd give it a day and see if the swelling goes down.

Put ice on it to help the swelling and then go to the ER to make sure it's not broken/sprained.
go and get something cold to compress the pain on perhaps ice and go and see your gp or doctor.
slam the other 9 and you will have a set
You need to get it looked at ASAP. You have what's called a crush injury that may have affected the blood vessels, and may be blocking off blood flow. You could also have a break in the finger.
Use ice to reduce swelling. If it is very painful, or if you have problems moving it, get an x-ray at the ER to check for fracture. Best wishes.
I had what I thought was a bruise from betting stepped on by a horse. I ignored it for weeks. when it still hurt, I went to doc and had two hand bones x-rayed. Turns out, two broken bones and they had fused. Doc said "Would you like me to re break them and reset them?"I didn't so now I have a deformed hand.
if you know its not broken or sprained you should put ice on it.
If it is swollen badly, you might want a sprain on it or a cast
