My opinion is that your thinking needs readjusting. Your body is your temple and you want to cater to its needs first so you can live a physically and emotionally healthy life. The body needs to renew itself both physically and emotionally during sleep and without this renewal, you are subjecting yourself to a possible host of illnesses and accidents. Even things like excessive weight gain are associated with a lack of sleep.

What you should do is try to go to bed at the same time every night and early enough that you can awake without an alarm clock. Nature never intended for us to disturb our sleep with alarm clocks. I use one maybe twice per year.

Then make sure you are productive with your waking hours. Exercising and eating right are two other things that will help you maximize your life experience.

I see lots of people who are stressed and on medication for mental illness. I think some of these people would do better to sleep, eat and exercise properly.

Do not take a short-term approach of trying to get more waking hours per day only to shorten your life in the long-run. There are natural rules for our bodies and following them will maximize the time you spend here on earth.

Well, the ideal amount of sleep is different for everyone...but generally, the best amount to get is between 7-9 hours. So just set your alarm clock for 8 hours after you plan on going to sleep (maybe a little more if it takes you longer to fall asleep), and you'll be getting the ideal amount and not wasting anymore time. It may take up to a few weeks to get used to this adjustment, but once your body is on a regular schedule, you'll feel much more refreshed and awake.

dear the ideal time for sleeping is for 6-8 hours.but it depends on your country's geographical situations, your amount of work, and body health. No,you cannot replace with somebody as it is not part of your body.Simple way to reduce or one can say regularise it by doing regular exercise, taking meals at regular intervals, above all keeping your spirit High to achieve the goal.
